Starting in the custom flooring business in 1975 some of our early rug design projects were with Busch Gardens in Tampa, Florida. Palm Rugs was Busch Garden's primary flooring contractor and flooring designer from 1978 through 1986. We designed custom rug applications for The Old Swiss House, Anheuser-Busch Brewery. Palm Rugs designed many of the rugs used in the animal shows such as The Orangutan Show featuring Clyde the Orangutan from the Clint Eastwood movie, Every Which Way But Loose, The Dolphin Encounters, The Performing Elephants and many of the theme rides throughout the park . Palm Rugs was also a member of the consulting group for the remodeling of the Kennedy Space Center Headquarters in Cape Canaveral, Florida. Some of our notable designs include a custom NASA logo rug installed in Director of NASA Operations Jay Honeycutt’s upper suite. Palm Rugs was also commissioned to design a custom one of a kind carpet with the NASA logo in it for the main lobby of NASA Headquarters in Washington DC.
